Human-animal conflicts have assumed alarming proportions in the Himalayan valley of Kashmir. Over the last six years 110 people have been killed and 1108 have injured and over 500 wild animals have been killed in retaliation. During this period also 400 plus animals were rescued and released. Incidents happen in and around the alpine ranges, especially in areas like Bandipora, Kupwara, Kangan etc.
